After more than 240 cattle out of some 3,500 stolen in Santiago del Estero were found in a field of the Kirchner national senator, José Alperovich, the family of the former Tucumán governor gave the version that they

were "scammed

.

"

Daniel Alperovich

, son of the politician and managing partner of "

La Galesa

" -a livestock establishment in the Santiago town of Pozo Hondo-

he

acted as the senator's spokesman,

arguing that "the raid on the farm was caused by a criminal complaint against Luis Magliano (already arrested) owner of

Óleos del Centro (ODC)

, a company dedicated to herding cattle."

"We had a commercial link with Magliano and he paid us a debt, with cattle.

All documented

and registered by Senasa.

Obviously we were scammed

. The prosecutor who is carrying out the case told us that presumably that cattle was not owned by Magliano", Held.

The spokesman explained that "the animals are in judicial deposit until it is determined who their owners are," and assured that they are "collecting all the documentation to bring to justice and

make the criminal complaint against Magliano

for fraud."

Alperovich was present at the raids on his property.

The senator is

virtually suspended

: he makes use of an extended license since he received a complaint of another nature:

a niece accuses him of rape

.

Faced with this complaint, Alperovich defended himself, that time, through the networks.

"They are all lies," he published, to "emphatically deny the facts."

And he added that he had been "a victim of threats and demands" of an extortionate nature.

He is currently on leave for a sexual abuse report.

At least 240 stolen cattle

According to sources from the investigation confirmed to

Clarín

, those responsible for the establishment where the cattle were found have admitted that these animals were sent by

Magliano.

He is the

owner of the bankrupt firm ODC, who was in charge of the lodging and fattening of the farm deposited by the firms San Eugenio SA, el Tránsito SA and 38 SA, in the towns of Weisburd and Campo Gallo, in Santiago del Estero .

He surrendered to justice on March 30 and is detained after his national capture was ordered for the theft of 3,500 cows

valued at more than 150 million pesos

.

The finding came after, by order of the Santiago Justice, several raids were carried out in different establishments in the provinces of Santiago del Estero and Santa Fe.

The first of them took place last Monday in the town of Amstrong, south of Santa Fe, without positive results.

However, according to the investigation, there was

evidence of the passage

through that establishment of part of the farm sought from the reading of transport guides signed by Magliano's son with that destination.

Between Tuesday and Wednesday, the raids continued in fields in Salta and the people of Santiago, where

part of that cattle was finally found

.

The place where the 240 cows appeared was in "La Galesa",

owned by Alperovich

.

The 240 cattle found from the firms San Eugenio SA, El Tránsito SA and 38 SA are being transferred to Corrientes.

The investigators also affirmed that more operations are foreseen given the presumption that there would be more property to be identified and that they could belong to the firms affected by Magliano and now by Alperovich.

Despite the finding, the former governor of Tucumán is

still not even as a defendant

in the file.

According

to Clarín,

the attorney for the complaining firms,

Hernán González

, who continue to count the animals that are in the place, which are around 9 thousand cattle.

And he warned that the farm found was with the brand of the firm that denounced the missing of the animals while other cattle were overmarked.

In addition, he reported that Alperovich was

disabled from moving the property

in the 100,000 hectares he owns in the northeast of the country.

In any case, with this important discovery, the criminal investigation carried out by the Santiago Justice will have new edges to continue.

The new plot, now, links the cattle businesses of businessmen and politicians.

Justice will have to determine

whether Senator Alperovich is part of the alleged illicit association

that would have illegitimately appropriated the property of third parties, in a million-dollar maneuver carried out under the restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic that prevented audits and controls from being carried out. face-to-face.

The Santiago del Estero prosecutor's office declared last Saturday the judicial depositary of the recovered property to the attorney-in-fact of the firms San Eugenio SA, El Tránsito SA, El 38 SA, Hernán González, present during the raids and judicial proceedings.

Alperovich, for his part, adds a new problem against him, after the complaint of a niece

for alleged sexual abuse

, which caused a request for leave from his position as senator, endorsed by the Upper House.

Faced with this complaint, Alperovich denied the accusations, assured that he has "evidence and witnesses" that prove his innocence, and affirmed that he was "a victim of threats and demands."

In turn, he reported that he gave instructions to his lawyers and affirmed that he is "at the disposal of the courts to clarify what happened, since it is in this area where what happened must be elucidated."

The senator's lawyer is

More than 150 million pesos

The firms San Eugenio SA, el Tránsito SA and 38 SA denounced at the beginning of this year that they had sent from January 30 to December 15, 2020 some 3,530 heads from their fields located in Chaco, Formosa and Corrientes to the establishments of Oleos del Centro SA (ODC), owned by Luis Magliano, in the Santiago towns of Weisburd and Campo Gallo for rearing and fattening.

They found more than 200 stolen cattle in a field owned by José Alperovich in Santiago del Estero.

But according to sources from the firm Haciendas San Eugenio, on December 28 they realized the

missing of the animals

and made the corresponding police report.

In this context, the complainants initiated a wide-ranging private investigation, in order to establish how the maneuver was carried out, the public and private logistics used to carry out the operation and identify the people who participated.

They also sought to obtain the greatest certainty about the circulation routes used and about the final destination of the animals, locating with greater precision the fields or clandestine meat processing plants.

Later,

the investigation passed into the hands of the Santiago Justice

, in charge of the prosecutors Mariela Bittar de Pappa and Victoria Sottini.

At the time of the complaint, Magliano was president of the Rural Society of Jesús María, but decided to resign from his position last January.

It was said at the time that it was for personal reasons.

The case revolves around the following alleged crimes: illicit association, fraud and theft.
