(CNN Spanish) -

The Federal Chamber of Cassation of Argentina ruled in favor of Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner in the Future Dollar case, and dismissed her along with the rest of the defendants, including the governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, according to the ruling published in the Judicial Information Center (CIJ).

The judges of Chamber I of the highest federal criminal court, Daniel Petrone, Diego Barroetaveña and Ana María Figueroa, had to define whether the case reached an oral trial or was archived before the start of the process.

The Cassation prosecutor involved in the case may appeal to the Supreme Court to have the decision of the magistrates reviewed.

The defenses had requested the dismissal for alleged "non-existence of a crime," to which the court judges adhered.

After the electoral defeat of 2015, the Central Bank of Argentina sold private dollars at a price lower than the market price.

After the devaluation during the management of Cambiemos, this meant that the administration of Mauricio Macri had to face millionaire payments, depending on the cause.

Some of the individuals who benefited from betting on the future dollar in 2015 were later Macri officials.

In another file they were also dismissed by the Justice.
