The Russian Direct Investment Fund has expressed its willingness to expand production of the "Sputnik V" anti-corona virus vaccine outside Russia, expecting that the volume of vaccine production in India will reach 50 million doses per month by summer.
Russia Today quoted the fund as saying in a statement: “A number of Indian companies have started manufacturing the vaccine and others have passed the mandatory tests and quality control stages,” adding: “We guarantee that Sputnik V's quality control procedures in various Indian production institutions are very strict.” .
The statement continued, "The vaccine is currently being produced in Belarus and Kazakhstan, and production will start in Serbia and Iran very soon, and it is expected to start production of the vaccine at the Italian" Biontec Wadyen Pharma "plant within a few months.
The Russian Direct Investment Fund expressed its willingness to share technologies for vaccine production and cooperate with other countries in a spirit of partnership.
