Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu revealed the transfer of several military regiments to the western borders to face the recent threats of NATO.

According to Sputnik, Shoigu said during a meeting in the northern suburbs of Moscow today: “Two armies and three units of the special landing forces were successfully transferred to the western Russian borders in the military training areas within three weeks,” stressing that “the forces have shown full readiness and ability to carry out their tasks to ensure military security. For the country ”.

The Ukrainian army announced that it was about to organize joint military exercises with the "NATO" forces, in a move that could inflame tensions with Moscow, which had expressed its objection to these military exercises.

On the other hand, Shoigu stressed that the Northern Fleet is able to effectively confront Russia's current challenges and threats in the Arctic and said: “To enhance Russia's defense capacity and protect its national interests in the Arctic, the Ministry of Defense is working systematically to increase the combat capabilities of the Northern Fleet and is equipped with modern, adapted military equipment. For use in harsh climatic conditions ”.

He pointed out that thanks to the measures taken, the Northern Fleet was able to face the current challenges and threats of Russia in the Arctic.

He pointed out that the United States and its NATO allies are working to build naval and land forces in the Arctic, increase the intensity of combat training, expand and modernize the military infrastructure, adding: “American forces are being strengthened in Poland and the Baltic countries and compared to last year, the intensity of aerial reconnaissance has doubled, while marine reconnaissance has increased. One and a half times, ”indicating that NATO organizes 40 of its major operations every year in Europe bearing an anti-Russian orientation.

The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Groshko announced last Friday that the increasing activity of NATO "NATO" in the Black Sea would complicate the security situation in the Black Sea region.
