The annual communal Ramadama in the municipality of Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn falls victim to the pandemic and its consequences this year.
In order to keep the place clean and to free the environment from plastic and other rubbish, the environmental officer of the community Dorothee Stoewahse (Greens), together with the town hall administration, has considered an alternative waste collection campaign in which every citizen can participate.
- As Stoewahse explained in the latest meeting of the municipal council, there are stickers for the campaign in the April issue of the municipal newspaper.
You can stick the stickers on your own garbage bags and immediately make your contribution to a clean Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn.
"Everyone can go through the village with their own bag and collect all the rubbish they find," explained the environmental officer.
The garbage bags marked with the campaign stickers with the collected rubbish can then be deposited by the citizens at the newly established collection points - preferably on the weekend, because the employees of the building yard will initially pick up the bags on Mondays, as stated on the municipality's website.
The following collection points are set up: Kirchenweg, on the wall by the S-Bahn;
Miesbacher Strasse, corner of Neugrundweg;
Sportplatzstrasse, at the building yard;
Near Schlittenberg on Ayinger Weg;
Carl-Orff-Strasse at the Kunsthäusl;
Ostersteigstrasse at the allotment gardens;
Altlaufstraße, at the Höhenkirchen fire brigade.
Separating rubbish helps the building yard
“The professionals also separate the garbage,” added Mayor Mindy Konwitschny (SPD) to Stoewahse's remarks.
The work of the building yard employees is made easier when bottles and cardboard boxes are collected and handed over separately from the residual waste.
By the way, if you want to clear the place of rubbish several times, simply get new stickers - either in the town hall or in various shops in the village where the action stickers are on display.
