The Free State of Bavaria wants to select two cities with between 11,000 and 100,000 inhabitants in the Upper Bavaria district for this experiment.
CSU parliamentary group spokesman Rudi Heinz sees the move as an opportunity to revive culture and clubs in the city.
Reinhard Lauterbach (FW) also supported this by referring to more and more restaurateurs and retailers in crises threatening their existence.

Critical voices: "Completely wrong way"
But there were also critical voices.
Mayor Josef Dollinger was cautious: “I see it as double-edged.” Jörg Kästl (ÖDP) spoke of “the completely wrong path.

In addition to the negative corona test, retailers and restaurateurs would also have to show their identity card, which then makes data protection difficult.
Kästl was also annoyed that Moosburg's offer had long since been passed on to the state government and that the city council should only approve this retrospectively.
Mayor Josef Dollinger (FW) and Green City Councilor Johannes Becher replied that the model projects should actually have already been awarded and that the state government's decision to postpone the decision by two weeks was not yet in sight when they were passed on.
"We should make ourselves available when we are asked," said Becher clearly.
Gerhard Michael Welter (AfD) threw in a counter-argument that the more tests the incidence would increase.
No experiments on the backs of the Moosburg workers
In addition to Welter and Kästl, Stefan John (left) also voted against a model project with openings and normality for tested people.
"There is no alternative to lockdown," said John and warned that one should not experiment on the back of the Moosburg workers.
The CSU proposal for a model project was finally decided with 19: 3 votes.
The state government is now waiting for a timetable stating when the Bavarian model regions should be selected.

FDP representative Philipp Fincke complained that the CSU's urgent application for the corona model city was being dealt with immediately, "and my urgent corona application has been around for two months".
He announced that he would review legal steps in the event of further non-treatment.
In addition, Fincke accused Mayor Josef Dollinger of not processing his application "because you don't like it".
Fincke had requested that hybrid meetings be made possible with city councils who can attend meetings from home because of the high corona numbers.
Dollinger rejected the allegations and justified the non-treatment with a lack of legal basis, what is necessary in hybrid meetings and how the legal procedure is to be followed in the event of disconnections.
He does not risk breaking off the meeting if a connected city council falls from the line.
The administration is already checking the situation and paying close attention to the legal framework.
