A day after the arson incident of an IDF disabled person, Itzik Saidian, who is hospitalized in critical condition at Tel Hashomer Hospital, there was a 300% increase today (Tuesday) in the calls to the help line for post-trauma victims. Because today the helpline received 45 calls from the morning until 14:00, compared to 15 calls yesterday until 15:00.

The association's helpline will operate in an emergency format from the evening of Remembrance Day until the eve of Independence Day.

The association is preparing for a 100% increase in the number of referrals to the helpline.

According to the association, there was a 35% increase in applications from Yom Kippur War graduates and 39% in applications from First Lebanon War graduates.

This year, too, most of the referrals to NATAL (71%) were graduates of Operation Eitan.

Efrat Shaprut, the association's director general, said that NATAL is preparing for one of the most complex and difficult days in the Israeli calendar.

"NATAL's helpline will be available 24 hours in a row from the evening of Remembrance Day until the eve of Independence Day to address those former combatants, bereaved families and victims of hostility for whom Remembrance Day is held every day of the year.

"Sheba Tel Hashomer Hospital continues to fight for the life of Itzik Saidian, a 26-year-old IDF invalid who set himself on fire last night in front of the offices of the Rehabilitation Department of the Ministry of Defense in Petah Tikva. His brother Avi and his sister Leah said that Itzik was neglected by bodies To, and called to take care of the rest of the fighters suffering from post-trauma.

Saidian apparently brought a flammable substance with him to the scene, poured it on his body and set himself on fire in the entrance plaza of the building.

Defense Ministry security guards used fire extinguishers, provided him with first aid and called the MDA team, who evacuated him by ambulance to Tel Hashomer Hospital.

Saidian is recognized by the Ministry of Defense as an IDF invalid due to the battle shock he suffers from.

As part of his service in the Golani and his participation in "Eitan Cliff" in 2014, he fought with Hamas forces in battles in the Sajaiya neighborhood of Gaza.

After his release, he turned to the Ministry of Defense, where they recognized a relatively low percentage of disability.

Saidian struggled for broader awareness.
