Australia today announced the second case of a blood clot after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine against the Coronavirus.
Reuters reported that the Australian authorities had not recorded an increase in the cancellation of vaccination, despite reports of a possible link between the AstraZeneca vaccine and the occurrence of blood clots.
The vaccination campaign in Australia relies heavily on the AstraZeneca vaccine, with plans to produce 50 million doses locally, but the change in government policy regarding the vaccination campaign prompted the authorities last week to double their order of Pfizer vaccines to 40 million doses.
