Vaccini case: 75-year-old woman dies after AstraZeneca, investigation

A 75-year-old woman, Francesca Paola Vizzini, from Palermo, died last Sunday after the 118 doctors had tried in vain to revive her. On Tuesday 6 April, the woman was given the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - PALERMO, APRIL 13 - A 75-year-old woman, FrancescaPaola Vizzini, from Palermo, died last Sunday after the 118 doctors tried in vain to revive her.

On Tuesday 6 April, the woman was given the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The daughters filed a complaint with the Carabinieri and the Palermo prosecutor's office opened an investigation.


    The investigations are coordinated by the prosecutor Claudio Camilleri.

Today the autopsy was performed at the Policlinico di Palermo by the doctor Elvira Ventura Spagnolo.

   Our mother was autonomous, independent, had the typical ailments of her age, but she enjoyed good health.


   She drove and went out alone to do the shopping.

On 6 April he had received his first dose of AstraZeneca in the hub of the Fiera delMediterraneo, after a grueling queue.

She came home tired and we initially attributed her condition to the tiring day.

She still left home on Thursday, but since Friday she started to feel worse.

The family doctor and the emergency medical service were contacted and some medications were prescribed, but the situation did not improve.

Sunday morning we called 118. The doctors tried to revive her, but there was nothing to be done.

At 11 she died ". (ANSA).
