The days of my abandonment

, which has already been adapted to the cinema in 2006 in Italy, takes an interest in Tess (Natalie Portman), a woman who has given up all her dreams for a stable domestic life, and in turn finds herself abandoned by her husband.

At this precise moment, his whole world collapses.

The film will offer an immersion in the mind of this woman in crisis, "

who faces the norms surrounding motherhood and femininity, while she is pushed into the entrenchments of her own psyche

", explains the synopsis.

An Apple series in the works

This film is the second major television project in which Natalie Portman recently embarked.

She will also star alongside Lupita Nyong'o in an Apple series based on Laura Lippman's novel,

Lady in the Lake

.

For its part, HBO has announced that

The Prodigious Friend

, a series based on the Neapolitan tetralogy of Elena Ferrante, will have a third season.

The Lying Life of Adults

, will also be adapted as a series by Netflix.

With at least fifteen million copies of

l'Amie prodigieuse

sold worldwide, and a work translated into 42 languages, a veritable Ferrante fever has gripped the world of books for several years.

To the point that the Gallimard house, in January 2017, for example had planned an exceptional first printing of 100,000 copies on the occasion of the release of the third part of

L'Amie prodigieuse

.

And with these new adaptations coming up, the fever is not about to abate.
