In Miami, an uncle of the Nicaraguan boy who was found on the southern border of the United States walking alone told CNN that he spoke constantly with his sister during the journey that began on February 7 with his nephew. He said that both were kidnapped in Mexico, that he paid a ransom for the child and that from that moment he lost contact with his sister. CNN has not been able to corroborate exactly what happened in the case. Lázaro Gutiérrez, father of the minor and who lives in Nicaragua, denies any type of accusation. He assured CNN that Meylin Obregón, his ex-partner, decided to travel with his son to the United States of his own free will, something with which he agreed. Ana María Mejía has the details for us.
