Dombühl - On Monday (April 12th) a barn in the Baimhofen district of Dombühl (district of Ansbach *) caught fire.

What triggered the fire is still unclear, according to a message from the Central Franconian Police Headquarters *.

But the remaining damage amounts to a large sum.

Due to heavy clouds of smoke in a barn, several people called the police around 6.30 p.m.

Several voluntary fire brigades from Dombühl, Kloster Sulz, Brunst, Feuchtwangen and Schillingsfürst were deployed.

They were able to extinguish the fire in a timely manner.

The fire brigade was supported by the local operations management support group (UG-ÖEL) of the Ansbach district.

Barn fire in Dombühl: tractors fell victim to the flames

According to the rescue workers, a mixer feeder was completely in flames during the fire, from which the fire spread to the entire building.

Several agricultural vehicles, such as tractors and transport vehicles, were completely destroyed.

Solar cells on the barn roof were also damaged by the fire.

Accordingly, there was a high level of property damage.

Now the fire inspectorate of the Ansbach criminal police wants to find out whether the fire was caused by a technical defect in the mixer feeder.
