The MTR has conducted hundreds of emergency drills for the Tuen Ma Line. From April to June, it will choose to drive from Wu Kai Sha Station to Tuen Mun Station during 6 to 8 night non-traveling hours according to the daily schedule. , In order to inspect the system and equipment of the whole line, prepare for the opening of the whole line, and meet the requirements of the authorities.
He emphasized that the number of tests will be adjusted as needed.
Since the test needs to use the existing sections of the West Rail and the first phase of the Tuen Ma Line, the test in the early morning of May 1 to 2 will simulate trains at different time periods. More than 50 trains will simulate running back and forth on the entire line, which will take time to complete. Need to take up part of the day service time, and also test the departure time of the train from the depot and the train park.
On the morning of May 2 (Sunday), West Rail and Tuen Ma Line Phase I will need to delay the first train service time by 2 hours. The service will not start until 7:30 in the morning.
