The Krakow Society for the Protection of Animals said in a Facebook post that they had received a desperate call from a resident of this southern Polish city, who claimed to have observed a disturbing animal.
"He's
been in a tree in front of the house for two days!"
People do not open their windows because they are afraid that he will enter their home
, ”said this person.
"
It is brown, it is placed in a tree,
" she added, according to comments reported by the organization.
SPA agents suggested it may have been a bird of prey.
But the person who contacted them said the animal looked more like an iguana, although they couldn't find the word and called it a '
lagoon
' at first.
The inspectors were still there and ended up seeing the object of attention in a lilac, noting that it had "
neither legs nor head
".
"
We already knew we couldn't help this creature ... The mysterious 'lagoon' ... turned out to be a crescent,
" they reported.
The SPA said it hoped the incident would not discourage others from raising animal welfare concerns.
She said she had received calls about abandoned cats and dogs, and even fish.
