Schliersee is to get a new hotel in Neuhaus.
The municipal council has approved.
Now there is resistance from the neighborhood.

- The local council has repeatedly examined the Vitalresort project in Neuhaus, and now the neighbors' hour has struck.
After project developer Wolf-Dieter Roetzer was able to convince the local council to start the interpretation process even without a signed implementation contract (we reported), the public display is currently running until the end of the month, in the course of which those affected can submit statements and objections.

That is planned: A vital resort, an ensemble of buildings of different sizes, is to be built on the approximately 12,200 square meter property.
It would be the first major hotel project in Schliersee in many years.
In the far north a health center with practices, treatment rooms and a cooking school is planned (three floors, wall height 9.10 meters).
Four chalets (ground floor and attic), each with two holiday apartments, are grouped around a 1000 square meter pond, and the organic hotel is adjacent to the southern end.
The three-star hotel has 42 rooms, a restaurant with 110 seats and a 400 square meter spa area.
While the latter should be reserved for overnight guests, the gastronomy is open to the public.
The Biohotel is connected to the second large building, the guest house, on the so-called entrance floor.
45 rooms in the two to three star category are to be created here.
There is an underground car park below and between the buildings - also on the entrance floor level.
Because the terrain is sloping, only the two upper floors (plus attic) of the guest house can be seen from the south, and only the top floor (plus roof) of the organic hotel.
On the other side, i.e. in the middle of the site, three floors (plus roof) are visible.
The height of the gable of the small staff house remains below that of the guest house.
Schlieerseer Vitalresort: "Eight buildings in a space that is far too small"
As is usual with large projects, resistance has already risen in the neighborhood.
A resident has long written to the local council and complained that "eight buildings are being squeezed into one space that is far too small".
The project has nothing to do with “sustainable, gentle tourism” postulated by Roetzer.
He would have liked to see a display frame providing information about the dimensions of the Vitalresort.
The residents also raise questions about the traffic and the width of the access roads.
The municipal council will deal with the objections in the next round of the procedure.
In the committee itself, concerns about the approximately 50-meter-long guest house on Stolzenbergstrasse had become loud.
And, as is well known, also in the concept, which is aimed at health-oriented guests as well as cyclists.
Harald Gmeiner, CEO of the municipal tourism company Alpenregion Tegernsee Schliersee, does not share these concerns.
“Basically a great project that fits in well with the region,” he says.
The concepts would not contradict each other, but complement each other and certainly address one and the same target group.
The structural requirements are of course a matter for the municipality.
