Chairman of Religious Zionism Bezalel Smutrich addressed a public letter today (Wednesday) to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and New Hope Chairman Gideon Saar, calling on them to align their differences so that a government can be formed, without relying on the Prime Minister. Committed to supporting any arrangement they reach.

"Let us leave our future in our hands, let us Jews learn to get along with each other, and not leave the keys of our future in the hands of our enemies who rise up against us with lip service," Smutrich wrote.

"I read and implore you from the bottom of my heart - meet today, straighten out the differences between you, listen together to the economy of the wings of history and prove that you deserve it."

Smutrich added: "I pledge in advance to support any settlement you reach between you. It is in your hands - save the State of Israel and do not miss the moment."

As you may recall, two weeks ago, Prime Minister Netanyahu called on Gideon Saar to join the right-wing government led by him, along with right-wing chairman Naftali Bennett.

"Come home, let's form a stable right-wing government that will last for years," Netanyahu said.

"Let's unite. It's no secret that we have had disagreements over the years, but we knew how to overcome them and work together."

The chairman of Tikva Hadasha responded to Prime Minister Netanyahu's remarks and said that he did not intend to join him.

In a tweet he posted on his Twitter account, Saar wrote: "I will fulfill my commitment to the voter. I will not join or support the government headed by him."

On the other hand, a government headed by Edelstein, Katz or Barkat - can be formed easily and quickly if Netanyahu prefers to change the good of the state over his personal good, clears the way and allows the state to move forward.

Saar added that Netanyahu addressed him "on the very day that he and his people are once again spreading perverted and false conspiracy theories against me and the president."

According to Saar, "The continuation of Netanyahu's tenure, which prefers his personal good over the good of the state - harms Israel."
