Sweida-Sana
The branch of the Syrian Enterprise for Trade in Sweida leased 7 tons of vegetables and began offering them in the city hall at lower prices than the market.
The director of the Foundation’s branch, Asif Haider, said in a statement to SANA’s correspondent today that the leased quantities include varieties of the first toast of Banassi tomatoes, eggplant, salty potatoes, plastic cucumbers, dry onions, in addition to sour lemons.
Haidar indicated that the discounts of the offered vegetables ranged between 30 and 40 percent in some varieties from the market, in line with the efforts made to enhance the corporation's role in positive intervention in the market.
He pointed out that the branch will continue to import additional quantities of vegetables during the coming days, with the aim of providing them to citizens well.
Over the past two weeks, the Syrian Trade Corporation branch had offered more than 50 tons of potatoes at a price of 600 pounds per kilogram.
