The French National Olympic and Sports Committee unveiled 100 days before the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympic Games (23 July-8 August) the candidates to be flag bearers, knowing that for the first time there will be an athlete and an athlete.
Among the women, are the boxer Maïva Hamadouche, the windsurfer Charline Picon, the judokate Clarisse Agbegnenou, the basketball player Sandrine Gruda, the tenniswoman Kristina Mladenovic and the surfer Johanne Defay.
For the men, five candidates: pole vaulter Renaud Lavillenie, gymnast Samir Ait Saïd, swimmer Florent Manaudou, rider Astier Nicolas and rower Maxime Beaumont.
