Famous buildings and sites from coast to coast in the United States were illuminated tonight (Wednesday to Thursday) in blue and white in honor of the 73rd Independence Day of the State of Israel at the initiative of the Israel-American Community Organization (IAC), as part of dozens of Independence Day celebrations.
Well-known sites and major buildings highlighted include Los Angeles (California) City Hall, Las Vegas City Hall (Nevada), Denver City Hall (Colorado), Cleveland (Ohio) Terminal Tower, Boston City Hall, Fall River Bridge and Leonard Bridge. Boston (Massachusetts), the Rockville (Maryland) City Hall, which represents the Washington, D.C. area, the Orlando (Florida) Light Tower, the Houston (Texas) Building, and several other states in the state of New Jersey, and more.
The Celebrate Israel Festival will culminate in an international festive show that will be broadcast all over the United States from the nation's buildings in Jerusalem and will be screened on huge screens in the format of Drive In, on Sunday 18 April with the participation of Idan Raichel, Sarit Hadad, Rami Kleinstein and the Tislam band.
In addition, on Sunday at noon, the "Times Square" in New York will be painted in blue and white at the Independence Day celebrations of members of the Israeli and Jewish-American community in New York and the surrounding area.
