In addition to the well-known gastronomic offer of its predecessor Hotel Schloss Berg, an ice cream parlor and a kiosk are planned.

Berg

- After the shock at the end of the Hotel Schloss Berg on the shores of Lake Starnberg in autumn, the good news came in January: The Augustiner brewery took over the property from the new owners.

It is now also clear when and who will open the picturesque property.

The experienced restaurateurs Markus Bauer, Hans Schmölz and Viktor Fischer want to open the Strandhotel Berg with 15 rooms and a private jetty, self-service beer garden and restaurant with a lake terrace at the end of May.

In its press release on the opening of the Strandhotel, the Augustiner Brewery speaks of the “new P (r) eight object on the east bank of Lake Starnberg”.

And rightly so: the hotel's terrace at sunset is one of the most beautiful places in the entire district.

That is clear to the new hosts.

“We are highly motivated,” says Markus Bauer.

“We want to create a place for everyone.

For families who dock with the steamer and want to have coffee and cake, for beer garden visitors or those who want a wonderful dinner with beer and wine. ”Augustiner managing director Dr.

Martin Liebhard adds: "Anyone who comes to the Strandhotel Berg should immediately feel comfortable and welcome - whether as a local, boat excursionist or holidaymaker."

Bauer and his two colleagues already successfully operate numerous bars, clubs and event venues in the Fürstenfeldbruck district, including the “Martha-Bräu” and the “Pucher Meer”.

Therefore, they would not be afraid to open in the middle of the Corona phase: "We are now preparing everything so that we can be there for our guests at the end of this difficult time," says Bauer.

For the new beach hotel, the existing stock was completely gutted and provided with new wooden floors, as the landlord says.

An open kitchen and a prominent beer bar are planned.

The former small "Tyrolean room" has been pimped up a bit and is still available as a "cute little room", says Bauer.

The room where the fireplace was got a tiled stove and completely new seating.

The previous Seestuben should be available as an event space for around 120 people.

On the upper floor, where the beer garden was, there should be a self-service beer garden again, but with a new dispensing point.

“We will offer various specialties that go well with the lake, the surroundings and Bavaria,” says Bauer.

"Half a chicken, for example, will not be missing."

In general, the kitchen should be determined by products from the region, the kitchen will be Bavarian, supplemented by vegan, vegetarian and Mediterranean dishes.

As the brewery announced, it should be possible to “eat together like in the past”: A family gets a whole Reindl with meat or fish specialties - “while supplies last”, it says in the announcement.

Because the goods should only be processed fresh.

The hotel rooms are also being given “a facelift so that they fit in with the ensemble,” as Bauer says.

He is confident that in the course of events and the trend towards vacationing in Germany, they will be well utilized.

“A week or two at Strandhotel Berg is wonderful,” he is convinced.

The ice cream parlor that is to be built at the entrance to the Dampfersteg is new.

A kiosk for guests of the lake shipping or cyclists should complete the gastronomic offer.

The large parking lot will belong to the beach hotel.

According to Bauer, the current barriers will be removed.

"The place gets an automatic parking system."
