As announced by Le Figaro, the LNR has decided to postpone the derby between Racing and Stade Français Paris.
Initially scheduled this Saturday (9 p.m.) at the end of the 21st day of Top 14, the meeting is postponed to the weekend of May 1 (most certainly Saturday May 1 at 9 p.m.).
“Two frontline players from Union Bordeaux Bègles, one of whom is slightly symptomatic, who took part in the Champions Cup quarter-final against Racing 92 on Sunday 11 April, tested positive for the English variant of Covid- 19 in the days following the match.
Given the high risk of the appearance of contamination within the Racing 92 workforce and the contamination delays analyzed by the Covid-19 medical expert committee of the NRL in the present case, the Commission decided to pronounce the isolation of the workforce of Racing 92 from today, Thursday April 15, until Monday April 19 inclusive, ”said the League press release.
The Parisian club's wish to see the match postponed to Monday evening was therefore ruled out.
