New stage in the Thierry Solère affair, deputy for the 9th district of Hauts-de-Seine and indicted in particular for tax fraud, embezzlement of public funds, influence peddling.
On Wednesday, investigators from the Central Office for the Fight against Corruption and Financial Crimes conducted a search of the town hall of Boulogne-Billancourt, where Thierry Solère was deputy mayor of the town, Pierre-Christophe Baguet, between 2008 and 2011.
The investigators would have been particularly interested in the files of public contracts passed from the time when Thierry Solère was elected of the city.
The range of offenses for which he is indicted also concerns the time of his mandate at Boulogne-Billancourt and more broadly the period during which he was also elected from the department.

Justice: new twist in the Solère affair
Originally, a complaint from Bercy for tax fraud
The suspicions of influence peddling are based in particular on the double hat of the elected Solère, who worked as an advisor or employee of several companies.
The investigations aim to verify whether Thierry Solère would have made it easier to obtain approvals or contracts for these companies in which he had an interest.
Moreover, six company executives have been indicted since last summer in this drawer case, open since 2016.
The case began with a complaint from Bercy for tax evasion.
The investigation initially opened by the Nanterre public prosecutor's office was then widely extended to finally result in the opening of a judicial investigation and the copious indictment of Thierry Solère.
This Thursday noon, Thierry Solère's lawyer, Me Pierre-Olivier Sur refused to comment on this affair which - he says it from the start - is "relentless".
