A new initiative is planning to open an unpackaged shop with a café in Poing.

First step there: founding a cooperative.

Poing - The food should be as regional as possible, predominantly in organic quality and affordable.

But above all, they should: be without packaging.

That is the idea of seven committed citizens from Poing and the surrounding area who want to open an unpackaged shop with a café in Poing.

After Zorneding, it would be the second shop of its kind in the Ebersberg district.

Poing: Commitment by Poingers for Poingers

"Unpacked means that you bring your own containers (glasses, bags, etc.) with you and fill the unpacked goods directly in the shop," explains the newly founded initiative Poing Unpacked on its website.

Further: "In our café with a cozy atmosphere we offer homemade cakes, vegan and non-vegan, delicious coffee from regional roasters and much more."

Initiative wants to found a cooperative

So that this project can be put into practice, the initiative wants to found a cooperative with the motto “From Poingers for Poingers”.

There is an online survey for this, in which, among other things, the need for an unpackaged shop is asked.

Can also be found on the website (address at the end of this text).

Inquire about requirements via a survey on the Internet

One of the initiators is 30-year-old Maria Lindner from Markt Schwaben, who lived in Poing until a few years ago and who, among other things, set up the plastic-free regulars' table here.

"We are a colorful bunch of different ages, with and without families, normal people, nerds and eco-friendly people," says Lindner.

They all combine the desire to have less packaging waste and plastic in everyday life, "because we care about the environment and everyone's future".

The other active members of the team: Markus Brennhäußer (53), Sandra Fuchs (42), Annika Krätschmer (30), Veronika Molin (34), Tobias Fuchs (44) and Lotte Bitsch (57).

If you want to take part, you can also find information on the website.

Looking for suitable premises

Maria Lindner reports that there is still no room for the unpackaged shop with a café.

The first discussions had been held, but as the next concrete step the initiative wanted to wait for the survey and its results.

And then found a cooperative.

According to Lindner, anyone can buy shares and thus give the project the necessary start-up capital.

"We want to make a valuable contribution to Poing and the surrounding area - fair for everyone!", It says on the website.
