(ANSA) - LODI, APRIL 17 - The body of a beheaded young man was recovered in the early afternoon in Caselle Landi, in the Lodi area, after being reported by a fisherman who sighted it. The carabinieri found in the pocket of a garment he was wearing documents that lead to believe that it could be Stefano Barilli, the 23-year-old from Piacenza whose traces were lost on 8 February when he left his home and never returned.
In the pocket of the pants worn there was also a note with a message in which, as was explained by the investigators, he would have announced the extreme gesture.
To be sure that the body is just that of Barilli, the Lodi Public Prosecutor's Office also ordered the DNA test within the autopsy, which will be compared with that of the closest family members. The clothes found on the body are considered compatible with those that the young man was wearing at the time of his disappearance even if, as pointed out by the Prosecutor's Office, these are not so particular clothes as to give certainty that they come from the 23-year-old's wardrobe.
