Athens must send in the next few days to Brussels the 2,000-page dossier of its post-Covid recovery plan to benefit from 31 billion euros in grants and loans from the European Union.
The plan, dubbed “Greece 2.0”, is
“one of the best we've seen so far,”
according to a European Commission official quoted in the
Financial Times
.
Member States are finalizing their draft, which must be sent to Brussels before the end of the month.
The Commission will then have two months to validate them, then the Council (the twenty-seven Member States) one month to give their blank check.

"It is time to move up a gear so that the recovery plans are approved in the summer,"
urges a member of the Portuguese presidency of the EU.
"Progress varies a lot: some countries are almost there, for others it is more difficult",
noted Valdis Dombrovskis, Vice-President of the Commission, Friday evening, after a round table on the issue.
