Security officials: Hamas is ready to compromise on the number of prisoners released in a prisoner deal

About a week and a half ago, security officials held talks with Hamas mediated by Egypt in order to achieve progress on a prisoner deal - Walla !.

According to sources in the defense establishment, in contacts held on the Gaza Strip border, the terrorist organization expressed a willingness to compromise on the number of prisoners who will be released as part of the deal, but the Israeli return will not fall from hundreds of prisoners.

The talks took place on Tuesday about two weeks ago, while at the Erez crossing, the inauguration ceremony for the position of coordinator of government operations in the territories, Major General Rassan Aliyan, took place.

Egyptian intelligence officers met at the crossing with security officials from Israel, and after conveying the messages, they traveled to the Palestinian Hamas Hamas crossing, which is under Hamas control.

Thus, there was a round-trip dialogue for several hours, most of which revolved around issues related to advancing the settlement process.
