In the video: At the last minute: RAAM dropped the Likud's proposal to form the organizing committee (Knesset channel)
Ra'am chairman Mansour Abbas told 103FM this morning (Tuesday) that his party is in talks with the change bloc.
In an interview after the vote on the Knesset organizing committee, during which Abbas supported Lapid's proposal, he explained that "yesterday in the vote we were on one side, it does not mean that we have determined that we join a particular bloc."
He said, "We remained in the same position. The choice yesterday was not between the two blocs, but the choice that we continue to stick to our line. We want a government that will serve all the citizens of the country."
The change bloc last night recorded a victory in the vote on the composition of the Knesset organizing committee.
RAAM dropped the Likud's proposal, which was agreed upon by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and right-wing chairman Naftali Bennett Bennett, and voted in favor of the opposite outline.

MK Meir Cohen, No. 3 Bish Atid, said in an interview with 103FM "Mansour Abbas can be trusted that yesterday when things closed he kept his word."
He clarified that "there is no chance that anyone other than Lapid will receive the mandate from the president," and claimed that there is no conclusion to impose the task of forming the government on Bennett, and clarified that "we are the second largest party after the Likud."
Cohen's name came up as a candidate on behalf of the Change Bloc for the position of Speaker of the Knesset, but he denied it. "We did not talk about it, it did not come up this time.
"There is an intention to create an Israeli unity government, we did not talk about the cases," he said.
"We are the second largest party after the Likud."

Chairman Yinon Azulai (Shas) also referred to RAAM's support for voting on the organizing committee, saying that "we can first of all trust his people in the right-wing base."
Abbas understands politics, but even now in the organizing committee he wanted to be the tongue in cheek.
He reiterated his party's direct election bill.
"The bill was submitted after much thought and effort by my party members," he said.
"Bennett will come, Lapid will come and they will say we are ready to support it. Give us the chance - it could happen."

MK Eitan Ginzburg (Blue and White) said that "Blue and White recommended Yair Lapid, we will recommend anyone who the Bloc of Change agrees to form the government.
"If the Likud were to impose the train of government on someone else, we would not disqualify the Likud as a Zionist party, but Netanyahu has proven and proves every day that he cannot continue to serve in his position."
