Tehran-SANA
Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Abbas Araghchi confirmed that there are no discussions on "temporary agreement" or similar issues in the ongoing negotiations between Iran and the Four Plus One Group on the Iranian nuclear file.
In response to some false reports reported in Western media outlets, Araghchi, head of the Iranian delegation to the Vienna negotiations, denied that any issue under the title of "temporary agreement" or other similar issues had been raised in the negotiations between Iran and the Four Plus One Group and said, "The Islamic Republic of Iran is negotiating only on the issue." The final step to lift the unjust ban imposed on the Iranian people and that rumors such as the step-by-step projects or the interim agreement are unfounded.
Araghchi stressed that his country will never allow a state of attrition in the negotiations, and at the same time it will not be in a hurry and will not rush to reach a conclusion, pointing out that any decision on the pace and results of the negotiations is taken in Tehran and that the negotiating team submits its reports on the status of the negotiations on an ongoing basis to senior officials in the country. He called for negotiations to be carried out carefully while safeguarding Iran's crucial interests and positions.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced earlier today that the talks in Vienna within the framework of the Joint Committee of the Nuclear Agreement between Iran and the Group of Four + One are moving in the right path and some progress has been achieved, but the final stage has not yet been reached.
