A driver was seriously injured in a traffic accident on Friday evening on the state road from Moorenweis to Geltendorf.

- At the level of the junction to Eismerszell, the BMW came off the road for reasons that have not yet been clarified, according to the police, and crashed head-on into a tree in the area of the parking lot.
The 30-year-old driver from Scheuring (Landsberg am Lech) was trapped in the leg area.
A paramedic who happened to be present and the alarmed fire brigade Moorenweis took care of the victim and freed him from the vehicle.
This required the use of hydraulic rescue equipment.
With their help, a large opening could be created in the side of the vehicle.
The roof of the BMW was also removed.
This was the only way to safely free the 30-year-old from the vehicle.
The injured man was finally flown to an emergency clinic for treatment by rescue helicopter.
State road 2054 was completely closed during the work.
The Geltendorf fire brigade took over the closure when coming from Geltendorf and put a second rescue kit on standby.
The fire protection was also secured by the Geltendorf fire brigade.
