An arson incident occurred in Cheung Sha Bay.

At around midnight on Wednesday (21st), a Toyota private car parked at Block 2, Wangchang Factory Building, Tanlai Street, outside the Hong Kong Government Material Warehouse, suddenly caught fire. The fire was violent. It was reported that an explosion was reported, which alarmed many citizens. Call the police.

The fire rushed to put it out, and the private car that caught fire was severely burned. The fire believed that the cause of the fire was suspicious. The police classified the case as "arson". Afterwards, officers from the Yau Tsim Police District Crime Squad arrived at the scene to investigate.

Sources at the scene stated that the private car that caught fire had been reported as lost earlier and was suspected to be related to a $16 million robbery in Yau Ma Tei this month.

At 1 pm on April 7, a local businessman and two employees drove in a seven-seater car, transporting about 16 million Hong Kong dollars to the money changer and was shocked by another private car on Haibao Road. Two people in the seven-person car were injured.

Three thief men armed with knives and hammers ran away in the direction of Sha Tin after looting two bags containing huge sums of money.

Following investigation by the Yau Tsim Police District Crime Squad, four men involved in the case were arrested in Sham Shui Po, Sau Mau Ping and Sha Tin districts last Thursday (15th) and recovered about 200,000 yuan of stolen money. It is reported that the culprit also used the stolen money to buy A famous car and watches worth about 1.5 million yuan were purchased, and the destination of the remaining stolen money is unknown.

According to the police, one of the arrested men named Teng (24 years old) has been released on bail pending further investigation and must report to the police in mid-May.

The remaining three men have been charged with one count of "conspiracy to robbery" and appeared in Kowloon City Magistrates' Courts on April 19.
