Tuesday, April 20: Special vaccination campaign is apparently well received

The district office's Astrazeneca special vaccination campaign seems to have met with a broad response.

Yesterday, Tuesday, around 800 people registered for a vaccination within the first four hours.

As reported, 2000 doses of the vaccine are administered to people aged 60 and over at the Holzkirchen Middle School over the weekend, even without prioritization.

If you still want to make an appointment, you can do so at www.terminland.de/Sonder aktion_Astra.

Those willing to be vaccinated must, however, already be registered on the well-known portal www.impfzen tren.bayern.

The uncomplicated test offer by means of QR codes remains unchanged.

Most recently, the District Office had called on Teststelllen to participate in the system.

With success: there are now 29 stations in the district that are taking part.

You can see registered users on the website www.reihentestung.de.

According to the district office, there are other interested parties.

Monday April 19: Special vaccination campaign: Astrazeneca without prioritization, incidence at 132

What sounds a bit like the advertisement for a sale is actually the chance to get early corona vaccination protection in the Miesbach district.

In a “one-time special” campaign, the vaccination center will inoculate 2000 cans of Astrazeneca in the Holzkirchen Middle School next weekend.

All district citizens from the age of 60 can book an appointment - without having to prove a reason for prioritization.

Online registration at www.terminland.de/Sonderaktion_Astra starts this Tuesday at 10 a.m.

However, a prerequisite for this is registration at www.impfzentren.bayern.

Anyone who has not yet expressed their interest in being vaccinated should do so now as soon as possible.

The widespread argument that without prioritization you can't get it anyway no longer applies to the special campaign.

According to the District Office, all those willing to vaccinate have to prove their date of birth and thus their age of over 60 and their place of residence with their identity card. The security service at the entrance to the middle school check the information and the online appointment booking. You must also bring your vaccination certificate with you to receive the syringe. In addition, those wishing to be vaccinated should not have had any Covid 19 disease in the past six months and no other vaccination within the past 14 days.

The reason for the surprising vaccination turbo is a warehouse clearance by the Free State, reports District Office spokeswoman Sophie Stadler when asked by our newspaper. Since Bavaria had been promised so much vaccine that all second vaccinations were also guaranteed, the Astrazeneca vaccine, which was actually reserved for this, was released. The team at the vaccination center in the Miesbach district has now succeeded in procuring 2,000 of these doses.

The district office emphasizes that this vaccine is really only used in the special campaign. This also applies to the second vaccination, which will take place exactly twelve weeks later (July 16 to 18) at the same time as the first appointment at the Holzkirchen Middle School. The vaccinations are carried out by the medical staff of the BRK district association. Doctors explain to those willing to be vaccinated in detail before the syringe is placed. Anyone who was able to get an appointment is asked to wear loose clothing so that they can quickly free their upper arm during the vaccination.

Incidentally, there is no alternative to online registration for the special offer. If you do not have your own internet access or are not digitally savvy, you have to look for a helper from your family or friends on your own, the district office informs. If no more appointments are displayed, all are booked out. Then, as usual, those wishing to be vaccinated would have to be noted in the vaccination portal or at the family doctor and wait until it is their turn according to the prioritization ordinance of the federal government.

As of now, initial vaccinations with Astrazeneca will no longer be carried out in the vaccination centers.

According to the district office, these are now exclusively taken over by general practitioners.

That is precisely why the appointments would have to be agreed on a separate platform.

Said additional registration on www.impfzentren.bayern is still necessary so that the vaccinations remain traceable.

The 7-day incidence for the Miesbach district was 132 on Monday. The health department announced six new infections with the corona virus.

The incidence in the district of Miesbach by age group: Interesting insights are provided by statistics from the RKI, which break down the incidence in the district by age group.

It shows how many people in these groups, extrapolated to 100,000, have been infected with corona in the past seven days.

One result: In the age group from five to 14 years, the incidence of 283 is currently around twice as high as the district average (132).

The time when Corona spared younger people is apparently over in the district as well.

From the age of 15, the incidence decreases with increasing age.

In the high-risk group over 80, in which Corona initially claimed the most deaths, it is particularly low at 16.

Sunday April 18: Incidence rises to 135

The 7-day incidence in the district has increased slightly: According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), it is now 135. On Friday the value was 129.

Friday April 16: Schools are teaching remotely again

District

- On Friday, the seven-day incidence for the Miesbach district is 129 according to the Robert Koch Institute. This means that from Monday, April 19, all students - except for the final classes - will return to distance learning.

The district office announced this in its Corona update.

Friday always counts as the deadline for the rules that apply from Monday and then for the whole week.

Distance teaching applies from an incidence of 100.

In the past week, 28 percent of the elementary and middle schools in the district were in face-to-face classes, which is allowed, provided the distances can be adhered to.

38 percent taught alternating classes.

The other schools organized mixed forms.

Corona update: rules in schools, kindergartens and daycare centers

Excluded from the rule of distance learning from Monday are: Final classes of all types of schools - including the fourth grades of elementary schools, as well as grade 11 at grammar schools and technical colleges.

These classes are taught face-to-face, provided the minimum distance of one and a half meters can be maintained over the long term.

If not, alternating lessons apply.

Anyone who enters the school for face-to-face or alternating classes must present a negative corona test or take it there.

In the day care centers and crèches there is no longer any regular care, only emergency care.

The Ministry of Social Affairs determines who is entitled to it.

In addition, from next week there will also be compulsory tests at after-school care centers or similar care facilities.

However, this only leads to a change in the previous situation if the children and young people were not at school in the morning.

If they have proven a negative test there, they do not have to be tested again in the after-school care center.

This is also confirmed by Ute Braun from the Miesbach day care center. "Most of the children who come to us are in emergency care at school in the morning and are tested there," says Braun. If a child was out of school in the morning but attended the after-school care center, the parents would have to show a negative test. A lay quick test also counts here, explains the head of the after-school care center, which normally has space for 25 children. The parents know about the innovations and agree with them. Because many children can be looked after by their parents or grandparents, there is much less going on in the after-school care center than usual. Five to eight children are currently being looked after, reports Braun.

Overall, the district office rates the new, close-knit testing, which began on Monday, April 12, as positive.

A quick test and then the PCR test were positive in ten school children in the district last week.

According to the district office, the advantage is that in the vast majority of cases no other classmates would have to be quarantined.

Infection situation

In general, the situation in Miesbach seems to be easing somewhat.

Compared to Thursday, the seven-day incidence has fallen from 145 to 129, as the district office shows.

Thus, the value falls again for the first time after eight days of growth.

18 new cases were reported on Friday.

With a total of 19,749 vaccinated people, the vaccination rate is now 19.75 percent.
