To answer the questions of our readers Barbara Mayr from Moosach and Bernhard Reisinger from Olching (top right: “Does that have to be?” And “Dumber never works”): No, there is no obligation for us to address the lightning campaigns.
But it is our - as we say - chroniclers duty to report when we receive this information from the Home Office.
After all, many of our readers are interested, primarily of course the drivers among them.
Our newspaper does not give the exact locations of the speed cameras.
The Bavarian Ministry of the Interior does this on its website.
But you can find them even without our help.
I would appreciate it if speed controls weren't announced.
Various broadcasters broadcast this news all the time.
They also ask their listeners to tell them the exact locations of lightning controls in order to then warn other drivers.
That annoys me too.
When I hear these speed camera warnings on the radio, I turn it off or select another station.
After all, every driver can easily avoid being flashed by not exceeding the permitted speed.
