But the behavior of the bank also raises questions.

company by signing them with the owner's name. In this way, she managed to get the entrepreneur's bank to credit her account with amounts between EUR 200 and EUR 800 each time - a total of EUR 4,757.50. The 32-year-old was sentenced to one year in prison by the Wolfratshauser District Court for forging documents in the act of fraud. The sentence was suspended for three years.

The deeds happened within a tight timeframe between December 11, 2019 and March 9, 2020. "I didn't notice it at first," said the betrayed entrepreneur. “But the tax advisor took a closer look.” This is how the fraud came to light. He then went to his bank and then to the police, the injured party said. How exactly the defendant had access to the bank details was not explained at the hearing. But the young woman was "very embarrassed", as she assured in court. The witness reported that his bank compensated for the damage. "Because they weren't paying attention," added judge Helmut Berger.

A little later he added in his judgment: "It's hard to believe the sloppiness that happened at the financial institution." Their employees not only hadn't noticed the "amateurish imitation signature" of their customer, but in one case instead of the one on the transfer form clearly recognizable 750 euros only 7.50 euros booked. With his sentence of one year on probation, Berger followed the defense's request, the prosecutor had requested a year and a half. In addition, the judge ordered the "recovery of value replacement" in the amount of 4757.50 euros.
