Gruber Strasse in Poing had to be closed for about an hour on Tuesday.
Reason: an excavator had damaged a gas pipe.
It was shortly before 9 a.m. on Tuesday when the police were informed that an excavator had damaged a gas pipeline at a construction site on Gruber Strasse in Poing.
The area around the site was evacuated and cordoned off, Gruber Strasse was closed for about an hour, and traffic was diverted.
The volunteer fire brigades from Poing, Gelting and Ebersberg as well as the rescue service and the municipal utilities were on duty. After the gas was turned off, the damaged pipe could be exposed, the police report said.
