The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ecuador said in a statement that they reunited with their parents the two girls who were thrown over a border fence between the United States and Mexico.
The encounter was approximately 18 days after Border Patrol agents took them into custody and about 5 days after they were in the care of the Department of Health and Human Services.
