Since yesterday there has also been a small corona test center in Hohenpeißenberg: In the social meeting place in Schächen HOP, citizen tests are offered three times a week under the direction of the “Rigi Pharmacy”.

The pharmacist who runs the “Rigi Pharmacy” in Hohenpeißenberg is satisfied with the first day on which she and her employees offered the free citizen tests in the HOP.
Eurisch said she had longed to carry out a free corona rapid test in Hohenpeißenberg. Ultimately, the rector of the Hohenpeißenberg elementary school, Stefan Schmid, got the ball rolling, who was looking for a way that his students could be tested for Corona before the start of lessons, independently of the tests in the school. “After all, we all got together,” says Eurisch. With combined forces, a test concept was developed that goes beyond the citizen tests.
The "General Practitioner Schächen" offers on Mondays and Wednesdays and the practice of Dr. Franz Schelkle offers rapid corona tests for schoolchildren on Fridays from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. And the community has made the rooms of the HOP available so that a small corona test center can be built there under the direction of the pharmacist Eurisch and with the help of her employees. Corona rapid tests are now carried out there every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 12.30 and 1.45 p.m.
The offer is free of charge and is not only aimed at Hohenpeißenberg citizens, but also at children from the age of six and adults from the surrounding communities, as Eurisch explains. Anyone who would like to have a rapid corona test done in the HOP must register in advance either in person or by telephone (08805/331) at the “Rigi Pharmacy”. Registrations are accepted up to half an hour before the start of the test period - however, it is possible that all appointments are already taken. Only citizens who have no corona symptoms are allowed to appear in the HOP for testing.
In addition to these test times, the pharmacist and her staff would like to test in one evening in the future. “Friday evening would be ideal so that you can go shopping on the weekend or visit relatives without any worries,” says Eurisch. It was still unclear whether this plan could be implemented in this way, according to the pharmacist at the presentation of the offer on Monday afternoon in the HOP, to which Mayor Thomas Dorsch had also come. “That's a great thing,” he says: “It takes away the inhibitions of having to go somewhere for a test. And many know the staff at the 'Rigi Pharmacy' well. ”That also makes the decision to have a corona test easier.
While many of her colleagues had difficulties in recruiting staff for the corona tests in the pharmacy, that was not a problem in Hohenpeißenberg: around a handful of the employees reported immediately.
“I'm so grateful for that,” says Eurisch.
The rooms in the HOP are ideal because they are barrier-free, central and easy to ventilate, because a one-way street control is possible and because the test team can use three rooms for the various test phases.
Even if she and her employees have even more work to do, she is convinced that testing is an important step in fighting pandemic.
“We want to do our part,” says the pharmacist.
