New cases of the new Coronavirus in India decreased from the level reached the previous day, but remained above the level of two hundred thousand for the sixth consecutive day, with an increase of 259,170 infections during the past twenty-four hours.
The Indian Ministry of Health data also showed a record increase in the number of deaths, with 1761 new deaths recorded, bringing the total to 180,550 cases from 15 million and 321 089 injuries.
India ranks second in the list of countries in terms of injuries in the world, after the United States, and third in terms of deaths, after the United States and Brazil.
