The powerful Lebanese bloc in Lebanon renewed the call to accelerate the formation of the Lebanese government in accordance with the criteria of competence and competence.
The bloc said in a statement after its meeting headed by the Lebanese MP Gebran Bassil, "The Lebanese are still waiting for the person charged with forming the government, Saad Hariri, to present a systematic government formula within the criteria of competence, specialization and lack of party affiliation, and everything below that indicates the absence of a decision to form a government in Lebanon."
The statement considered that the Lebanese are waiting for serious work and known and systematic attempts that cannot be avoided to form this government.
Lebanese President Michel Aoun assigned Saad Hariri to form a new government last October, after the resignation of Hassan Diab's government. However, this formation faces obstacles due to Western interventions that link economic aid to Lebanon with political concessions from some of the active Lebanese forces.
