The statements of senior Likud members come after the Knesset plenum yesterday approved the proposal of a bloc of Netanyahu's opponents for the composition of the organizing committee, by a majority of 60 supporters against 51 opponents.
The Likud's proposal was rejected by the RAAM party, after it voted in favor of the opposite outline.
Minutes earlier, Netanyahu and right-wing chairman Naftali Bennett reached a compromise on the composition of the committee.
According to the agreement between the two, Yemina supported a proposal that defines one representative in the committee for every five Knesset members, and in return the Likud was supposed to transfer one representative from its quota in the committee to Bennett's party, but the proposal fell by a majority of 60 against 58 supporters.
