The planned Moosburg shopping center in the "Amperauen" has jumped the next hurdle.

But the small industrial park remains controversial.

Moosburg

- The small shopping center on the edge of Moosburg's new development area "Amperauen" has been controversial in Moosburg's city council from the start.

That didn't change even now when a concrete plan was on the table.

This was passed with 14: 9 votes - and received criticism, especially from the Greens, that it would continue to weaken the inner city.

The plans envisage a cul-de-sac with an area for a discounter with a maximum size of 1200 square meters, and a full-range supermarket with 2000 square meters is also to be built.

The new shopping mile is to be rounded off by a drugstore and a bakery with a café.

Mayor Josef Dollinger (FW) is already thinking a step further: "That would also be a sensible location for a medical center." This can be realized in combination with a pharmacy.

Greens fear "pure car location"

The Greens saw it completely differently, categorically rejecting the development plan. “This is purely a car location,” said Alfred Wagner and warned that supermarkets near Thalbacher Strasse would then have to give up sooner or later. Wagner was also annoyed that the Greens demand for a construction method with low surface sealing was not an issue. There is no longer anything to be seen in the plans of the idea of setting up parking spaces in the markets. Dollinger replied that the requirements of the development plan would enable the supermarket to be implemented in this way with less surface sealing.

Johannes Becher (Greens) meanwhile criticized that this small industrial area in the Amperauen was a massive setback for the revitalization of the center.

"Our big goal of a drugstore in the city center will not be achieved for years to come," annoyed Becher.

And a medical center would also contribute significantly to the revitalization of the inner city.

Jörg Kästl (ÖDP) also joined in this line of argument and complained that “Moosburg lacks overall planning”.

You make the mistake of not looking at the entire city and not thinking outside the box.

Ultimately, however, there was a majority for the draft of the Nandlstadt planning office Wacker: With the votes of the CSU and free voters, at the end of the debate there were 14: 9 votes for the development plan, which can now be pushed forward.
