Scandal in a local council meeting in Greiling: A CSU politician did not want to wear a mask.

She also gave a reason for it.

The CSU branch is now responding.

Update from April 19:

The Greiling CSU branch expressly distances itself from statements made by Claudia Hefele-Bauer, who, as reported, refused to wear a mask at the Greiling local council meeting on April 13.

The letter goes on to say that Hefele-Bauer was elected to the local council as a non-party Greilinger via the CSU list.

According to the announcement, she is not a member of the CSU party and she has no other connection to the CSU local association.

"The CSU Greiling is of course behind the applicable and resolved measures"

Furthermore, the statements and views are "definitely not compatible with the principles of the CSU".

The hygiene concept for the parish hall was unanimously decided in September 2020, so Claudia Hefele-Bauer also approved the concept.

From the point of view of the CSU Greiling, the deliberate non-observance of the hygiene concept no longer has any connection to the expressly desired diversity of opinion.

"The CSU Greiling is of course behind the current and resolved measures of the municipal council," it says in the letter.

Hefele-Bauer left the community hall because Mayor Anton Magreiter had not accepted the behavior.

She had previously stated that she was exempt from the mask requirement, and that "according to a new court ruling, the mask would not protect against viruses".

Greiling

- There was a scandal on Tuesday in the Greilinger municipal council meeting.

Councilor Claudia Hefele-Bauer (CSU) refused to wear a mask.

Mayor Anton Margreiter (Free Voting Association) did not accept this behavior.

In the end, Hefele-Bauer left the community hall.

Claudia Hefele-Bauer (CSU) irritates with a claim about masks

Hefele-Bauer was late for the meeting when the third item on the agenda was already being dealt with.

She entered the parish hall without the prescribed mask.

Margreiter's request to put on a mask, she did not comply, but declared that she was exempt from the mask requirement.

In addition, "according to a new court ruling, the mask would not protect against viruses".

Margreiter did not accept this.

"I exercise the house right here and have expressly pointed out the mask requirement in the Whats-App group of the municipal council.

So the same conditions apply as at the meeting in March. ”According to him, an exception would have a devastating external effect.

“I have no choice but to break off the meeting or you will comply with the mask requirement.” Margreiter saw no reason to found an emergency committee consisting of 50 percent of the community council members.

Greiling: CSU councilor does not want to wear a mask in session - and leaves the room

Hefele-Bauer said she regretted that she had no way of doing what her voters wanted.

She took legal action for "bending the law" into the room and left.

The meeting then continued as normal and all items on the agenda were dealt with.

Later, under the point “Miscellaneous”, the topic came up again.

Council member Martin Bauer (FWG) attached importance to the statement that the procedure was not just a solo effort by the mayor, but that the entire committee was behind it.

In the brief debate that followed, there was no request to speak to question this view.

After the mask scandal in the meeting: City councilor for the press not available

Claudia Hefele-Bauer could not be reached on the day after the meeting to comment on the Tölzer Kurier.

The Greilinger community councils currently meet under Corona regulations in the community hall.

Wearing an FFP2 mask is compulsory, distance rules must be observed, and only a certain number of visitors may come.

The Weilheim district court has exempted a child who attended secondary school in Schlehdorf from the mask requirement.

In the meantime, the Ministry of Culture has commented on this.

And after the seven-day incidence in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district exceeded 100 on three days in a row, new corona rules will apply from Thursday, April 15, according to the district office.
