," the hospital management said in a statement, specifying having been heard by the police on these facts. The CHU also decided to "
the closure, as a precaution, of the boarding school on the weekend of April 16 to 19
" as well as to initiate, in parallel with the judicial investigation, "
an internal administrative investigation in order to determine the identity of the organizers and participants against whom disciplinary sanctions will be taken
”.
In a letter to interns on November 16, the CHU had nevertheless recalled "
the rules that must prevail within the boarding school during the epidemic period

the imperative respect for barrier gestures as well as the formal ban on assembly
".
Saturday, on the occasion of a tribute in Paris to five medical interns who have committed suicide since the beginning of the year, the president of the National Intersyndicale des Interns (Isni), Gaétan Casanova, denounced "
the urgency of the situation
”of these medical students employed by the public hospital in this period of health crisis. The union official was the spokesperson for “
suffering through exhaustion at work, harassment, the difficulty and pressure of competitions
” among interns. According to Isni, they work an average of 58 hours per week, according to data dating from before the health crisis, while the legal maximum working time set by law is 48 hours.
