The spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, considered that the positions of the recent Czech government are the destruction of bilateral relations with Russia, in contradiction to the national interests of its citizens.

"We see how Prague destroys bilateral relations and that these measures on its part are called acts of aggression, and we will respond to them appropriately," Zakharova said in an interview with the Russian "RBC" channel, in response to recent statements by the Czech authorities.

Zakharova called on the Czech authorities to assess their actions, pointing out that the more destructive measures and steps they take, the response to them will be greater and stronger.

Yesterday, Zakharova confirmed that the United States stood behind the expulsion of Russian diplomats from the Czech Republic, stressing that this was "linked to the failed plot to carry out a coup in Belarus."

It is noteworthy that the Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis announced last Saturday the end of the mission of 18 Russian embassy employees, claiming that they “work for the benefit of Russian intelligence and that there are suspicions of their involvement in the bombing of an ammunition depot in the region of Verbatis in 2014, while the Russian Foreign Ministry similarly responded last Sunday and expelled 20 Czech diplomats.
