After the English clubs abandoned the Superliga project, following in the footsteps of Manchester City, Inter, from Italy and Atlético de Madrid, from Spain, also chose the same path.

The authorities of the Board of Directors of the Spanish club made the decision on Wednesday and formally communicated to the Superliga and the rest of the founding clubs the decision "not to finally formalize their adhesion to the project."

For its part, the Italian club reported the same decision through a statement.

And they added that "we are always committed to providing fans with the best football experience; innovation and inclusion have been part of our DNA since our founding. Our commitment to all stakeholders to improve the football industry will never change."

News in development.
