A building of the Maalot Torah Yeshiva is being evacuated by a court order • The extent of the destruction is now becoming clear: "Put rubbish in the building, the receiver miraculously survived a stone blow" • Watch the damage caused

About a month and a half ago, after a long legal saga, the boarding school building of Yeshivat Maalot Torah was evacuated.

The building, valued at about NIS 20 million, belongs to Yosef Reichman, and was loaned to a yeshiva founded by Rabbi Shmuel Auerbach.

Upon his death, Reichman demanded that the yeshiva return the building to him, but encountered strong opposition from the head of the yeshiva, Rabbi Yosef Petrov.

The court ruled earlier this year that the building should be returned to Reichman, but the yeshiva refused, so police officers accompanying the executioners arrived last March to evict him, as part of the clear will of the businessman who put the building in favor of the yeshiva for a limited time. Predetermined. But despite the clear determination, the few yeshiva students who remained at the site vehemently opposed the evacuation and even threw stones at the evacuees.

Now, a month after the stormy evacuation, it has been revealed how the fortifications prepared for the active resistance, and harsh images of the great destruction they left in place are revealed.

The guys who opposed the evacuation chose to leave behind real swords.

They did this by breaking down some of the walls, destroying property, scattering debris, animal carcasses and more.

The event summary document of the Execution Bureau describes how they were received when the building was evacuated. "Despite the promises of the debtors' representatives, the evacuation encountered fierce resistance, barricades and checkpoints, stone-throwing, oil spills throughout the property, the use of fire extinguishers and suicide threats." The bureau pointed an accusing finger at yeshiva officials who were directly or indirectly responsible in fact. "The debtor (or someone on her behalf) was prepared ahead of time to evacuate the property and welded dozens of beds, iron pillars and entrance doors to prevent the evacuation which forced the police to order the fire brigade to break down the doors, all under a barrage of stones of lawbreakers who refused to evacuate. The property that was in the property at the time of the evacuation in order to make sure that it was being carried out properly, miraculously survived a stone hit in the head.

The Bureau of Execution noted that the fortifications put hundreds of kilograms of garbage into the building, "dirt, repellent fluids, iron pipes, bins and a lot of dirt (including animal skeletons) to thwart the evacuation."

According to them, "it is difficult to describe in words the commotion, chaos and filth and the many obstacles encountered by the execution contractor and the Israel Police in the property."

In addition, the execution revealed signs placed by the fortifieders prior to the evacuation, in which they asked not to pass on information regarding preparations for the evacuation, which included "infrastructure activities, weapons, the Corona virus, and all the branches."

The document also details the numbers behind the vandalism in the boarding school building: nine hours of actual evacuation.

Long days of garbage removal, damage repair and cleaning.

120 police officers who accompanied the process.

Two MDA ambulances, 45 porters, nine security guards, a gas technician, an electrician and eight staff members who assisted in the evacuation.

"Years ago, the late Rabbi Auerbach signed clear documents in his handwriting that he was writing a mortgage on the loan given by the Reichman family to buy the plot on which the building was built and build it," explains attorney Amit Hadad, who represents the Reichman family. "For 30 years they used this structure without paying a penny to anyone thanks to the generosity of the Reichman family. It was explicitly stated that after Rabbi Auerbach leaves office (retires or dies) the yeshiva returns the loan or building to the Reichman family. This is Rabbi Auerbach's will. It appears in the loan agreement, in the mortgage deed in the special terms document and in other documents that are all signed and backed by lawyers. "

Haddad sharply attacks the conduct of some of the yeshiva members after the death of Rabbi Auerbach: “People arise who did not know Yosef and have no idea. They decided to simply completely contradict what Rabbi Auerbach wrote when they pretended to act on his behalf. They claimed in endless proceedings that they had initiated terrible things against Rabbi Reichman. This is something that cannot be believed to have been done. Instead of rewarding well for those who have donated and done so much - instead they did the opposite. They tried to steal what came to the Reichman family. And Gd helped and all the proceedings they initiated failed. Instead of reaching out to Rabbi Reichman and saying to him, "Thank you very much, we appreciate you very much, take what you deserve," harass him, abuse him, lie. This is a real blasphemy. I am glad that this matter is over and that Rabbi Auerbach's will has been fulfilled. "We have done real justice and it is a pity that they had to forcibly evict people in order to do what their rabbi said they would do."
