Slow down: from 6 a.m. onwards, there will also be flashes in the Miesbach district.
Here you will find the streets where expensive photos are taken.
After a corona-related break last year, the lightning marathon is also entering the next round in the Miesbach district.
In other words, from tomorrow, Wednesday, 6 a.m., speed controls will take place throughout Bavaria, 24 hours a day.
And as with the previous seven campaigns, the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior announces in advance where drivers can expect speed cameras.
Lightning marathon in Bavaria: number of road deaths increased despite Corona
Compared to the previous campaign, the number of measuring points has decreased somewhat. For Fischbachau, Rottach-Egern and Otterfing, for example, there are no more speed cameras announced, in Tegernsee Karl-Theodor-Straße has been added, incidentally the only measuring point where Tempo 30 applies. "Driving too fast is not a trivial offense, but the main cause of serious traffic accidents," says Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann. Despite less traffic due to the pandemic, the number of road deaths in Bavaria increased in 2020. As reported, this also applied to the Miesbach district. In previous years, the number of road deaths was always five to six, last year it was eleven.
