Today, the Russian Foreign Ministry summoned Bart Gorman, deputy US ambassador to Moscow.
Sputnik news agency quoted sources in the ministry as telling reporters: “The deputy American ambassador was summoned to the headquarters of the Russian Foreign Ministry,” without giving any details on the matter.
Last week, the Russian Foreign Ministry summoned the US ambassador in Moscow, John Sullivan, against the backdrop of Washington's imposition of new sanctions against Russia.
Washington recently imposed sanctions against 32 Russian entities and personalities over the allegations of Russian interference in the US presidential elections, as well as sanctions against 5 individuals and 3 companies in the Crimea.
