Shuliji gradually weakened and turned into a typhoon on Friday

The Observatory stated that at 12:00 noon today, the strong typhoon "Suliki" gathered about 500 kilometers east-northeast of Baguio, the Philippines. It is expected to move north-northwest at a speed of about 10 kilometers per hour and cross the waters east of the Philippines.

The Observatory also predicted that "Suleki" will become a typhoon on Friday (23rd) and will weaken into a tropical storm next Monday (26th).

The Central Meteorological Observatory in the Mainland predicts that Shuliji will move north-west at a speed of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour, and the intensity will slowly weaken; tomorrow (22) will begin to move to the northeast, the speed will gradually increase, and the intensity will be significantly weakened.

Under the combined influence of the cold south air and Shuliji, the wind will gradually increase in the Taiwan Strait, the east of Taiwan, the Bashi Strait, and the northeastern part of the South China Sea today and tomorrow.

The Observatory looks forward to the next two or three days. It will be generally fine and hot during the day, and fine and hot during the day on Friday (23rd).

The temperature is as high as 24 to 30 degrees, the wind is mild, and the weather may be sultry. People should keep in mind to prevent heatstroke when they go out for activities.
