Derek Chubin's conviction for the murder of George Floyd is a very complex issue.
It cannot be assessed without knowing the facts well, and without understanding all the contexts and circumstances.
However, it is again a wake-up call for us as well:
The police have the authority to use force.
Sometimes it is even obligatory to do so.
The police are not allowed to use violence.
The monopoly on power is in her hands.
Lolly feared - each other swallowed alive.
Whenever we attack police officers - we are undermining the public order, and under the commandment of the Torah, "No one will put a king over you - let it be true for you."
At the same time, whenever the police cross the line between legal, legitimate and necessary force, and violence that is a crime, prohibited and dangerous, it also undermines public order.
The police should be highly respected.
She's not the punching bag.
It is responsible for realizing the power of government.
And it is obligatory to require it to comply with the frameworks and limits of its activities.
Without exception.
