The Argentine U-23 soccer team already knows its rivals for the Tokyo Olympic Games: Fernando Batista's team will share its group with Spain, Australia and Egypt, on the way to the third gold medal in their history.
According to the draw carried out this Wednesday at the FIFA headquarters in Zurich, the Argentine team will be part of group C that they will share with the champion of the U-23 African Cup of Nations that the Pharaohs played at home in 2019;
the winner of the U21 Eurocup that La Roja won in the tournament played in Italy and San Marino also in 2019 and the third of the Asian U23 Championship where the Socceroos finished behind South Korea and Saudi Arabia.
Argentina will debut on July 22 in Sapporo against Australia, three days later they will face Egypt on the same stage and will close their participation in the group stage against Spain on July 28 at Estadio Saitama 2002
